Management 101

Welcome! It’s really nice to have you here at Management 101.

I created this collection of articles to be the information we wished I had when I started out managing teams. For the new manager, it should give you some ideas and confidence to start excelling in your new role. We hope that we can also bring a few valuable tidbits to the experienced manager too. For those that have never managed anyone, the articles may give you an insight into what’s going on in your own boss’s head; potentially strengthening the bond between you both.

If you’re looking to go in-depth into this topic, I wrote a whole book on it!

In the meantime, here are some articles to get you started:

  1. Your first day on the job
  2. Contracting
  3. 1 to 1s

  5. The 4 key managerial activities
